AIDS SERVICE CENTER NYC CONDEMNS ORLANDO ATTACK

(New York, NY)  – Sharen Duke, Founder and Executive Director of AIDS Service Center NYC (ASCNYC), released the following statement on the attack on Pulse Nightclub:

“All of us at ASCNYC are deeply saddened by the attack that took the lives of so many members of the LGBTQ community and others in Orlando early Sunday morning. Every day, we work hard to provide safe spaces for LGBTQ New Yorkers, and it is heartbreaking to see such a place be targeted. Our thoughts are with those lost, their loved ones, and those who are recovering from this tragedy.

We encourage those who can to support the victims and their families by donating to the Pulse Victims Fund setup by Equality Florida. To make a contribution, visit www.gofundme.com/PulseVictimsFund.”
