Over the past two decades, The Alliance’s housing placement services have helped thousands of people secure safe housing that sets the stage for Positive Change in other areas of their lives.
In 2014, The Alliance took its homeless prevention programming to the next level by opening Pelham Grand, a supportive housing program for people living with chronic illnesses. The Alliance’s Pelham Grand is located in the Bronx and provides both short-term and permanent housing.
Supportive housing is about so much more than just putting a roof over someone’s head. Pelham Grand’s personalized services help residents take control of their health and move toward long-term independence. Our residents receive fast-track access to medical care, onsite recovery support groups, independent living skills counseling, communal meals, vocational training, and pharmacy access center services.
These and many other innovative offerings at Pelham Grand build a caring community that provides the skills, encouragement, and practical support for residents to embrace Positive Change in all its forms.
