The Alliance provides weekly support groups, recreational activities, and educational workshops on a walk-in basis for any person living with or affected by HIV/AIDS. To facilitate participation, we provide MetroCards, meals, and onsite child care. Beyond its drop-in groups, The Allianceoffers specialized women’s support groups and groups for persons coping with the dual challenges of HIV disease and addiction. Regular activities such as The Alliance’s “Movie of the Week” event, bingo games, and life-affirming seasonal celebrations all contribute to an inviting, familial atmosphere for clients who consider The Alliance their “home away from home.”
